Greetings to all my esteemed and honorable Distinguished Colleagues and Leaders in Agriculture,
On behalf of the organizing committee, I am happy to greet all the participants of the International Conference on Agriculture and Horticulture to be held on April 14-15, 2025, in Rome, Italy. As an Honorable Organizing Committee Member, I look forward working with you – the thinkers, the strategists, and the pioneers in various fields – on the occasion of the theme - ‘Innovations in Shaping the Future of Agriculture and Horticulture’.
We are in front of one of those moments when the world finds itself at the crossroad. The problems of agriculture and food production in the 21 st century: climate change, food insecurity, and resource scarcity require not just betterment of the existing products and services, but innovation that will change the approaches to agriculture and food production. This conference is a wake up call to every scientist, technologist, agronomist, farmer, industry player and policy maker. Being a community it will be a place we will not only talk about the future but build it.
Our agenda is bold. We will discuss the latest technologies, avant-garde techniques of farming, and policies that have the capacity to save the future of agriculture and horticulture. The talks and partnerships starting here will change the world and create new scientific resolutions and new solid community resolutions.
This is not simply a chance to disseminate information; it is a meeting of the brains that need to construct a long-term, effective, and fair society. It is in this conference that new partnerships and great ideas for development will form: from local agricultures to international policies.
So, I invite you to bring in your experience, your ideas, and your energy to the work. Perhaps it is time that we stepped up to the plate, time that we encouraged one another, time that we left this conference, armed with concrete tactics, which would propel us towards a future where agriculture and horticulture would ultimately provide for the world and its people, in a manner that would be sustainable and harmonious with the general environment.
Thanks for all the efforts put into this noble course. Indeed we can and in doing so shall create a lasting impression.
With great anticipation,
Dr. Reji Kurien Thomas
